Thinking Pink

 

Now that I've taken down all the wallpaper in the dining room, I'm ready to put some back up again. Well, not just yet. I probably won't get to the downstairs half bathroom until next year, but it doesn't hurt to take some wallpaper notes now. 

 

I'd love to do something really fun with one of these bold pink wallpapers I found in the pink gallery at Walnut Wallpaper.  The bathroom is really small, so maybe adding a chair rail (is that piece of molding called a chair rail if it's in a bathroom with no chairs?) and wallpapering above it will keep the room from becoming a pink nightmare.

Bold graphic prints and florals always speak to me, but the cows are interesting, aren't they? Cow wallpaper might be the closest I'll ever get to farm life since I'm not allowed to keep goats in my yard.

It's pouring here this morning. Thanks to my husband's handiwork we now have downspouts that drain 6 feet away from the house (as recommended by our inspector). So hopefully, the basement stays dry so we can focus on painting the stairs this weekend.
