We're about 3 weeks away from Christmas, and I've got gift-giving on my mind. Because the holidays are so merry and bright, I sometimes wish I could bottle up all that joy and give to my friends to get them through those after-holiday blues.
So I've decided to make some uplifting spa gifts for a few special people on my list. First up is a happy bath soak.
This is a pretty simple recipe that takes only a few minutes to make.
The blend of essential oils I chose for this recipe each have their own uplifting qualities. Lemon is refreshing and cheerful. Rosemary is cleansing and rousing. And peppermint revitalizes and invigorates. When combined together, these oils create an inspiring combination that will put a smile on your face and help you get through those dark and dreary middle-of-winter days.
You just mix epsom salt with bakings soda...
Then add the 3 essential oils.
Pour into a pretty container.
And you've got a nice little gift.
Just add some simple kraft paper wrap and twine and it's all dressed up and ready to go. Or package in 2 ounce round containers and use the free labels I designed. Find them at the end of this post.
1 cup epsom salt
1/2 cup baking soda (make sure it's from a nice fresh box)
4 drops lemon essential oil
3 drops rosemary essential oil
2 drops peppermint essential oil
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Pour into an air-tight container. It's best when used within 6 months.
