I'm always looking to sign up for art classes in Japan. A few years ago, I took a sumi-e painting class at the Kyoto International Community House. If you happen to be in Kyoto for a while, you might want to stop by KICH. They offer several craft classes and Japanese language classes that are practically free. This was the first sumi-e painting I did in class. I think I was trying to write my name in kanji down at the bottom. Awww.
