When I first moved to Japan, I quickly filled up my kitchen with bowls, plates, utensils, and towels from my local ¥100 store. Even after my shelves were full, I kept going back for more stuff. Before I knew it, I had amassed a pile of junk with my hundred yen shopping sprees. Something had to be done. Thus began my ¥100 D.I.Y. endeavors. I made this bird mobile when I was pregnant (and in a serious nesting phase) with my first daughter. I saw the project on
design sponge and decided it was a great way to get rid of the scraps of ¥100-felt laying around. Click
