The Waiting Game
What am I going to do with myself for the next two weeks until closing day? I thought I'd get a head start on gardening by doing a little soil testing. It takes the University of Wisconsin Extension office about 2 weeks to deliver the results, so I thought, hey, why not be all prepared and start today.
BUT, it turns out that I can't do any sort of testing besides the testing that was already agreed upon when we made our offer on the house. Some legal schmeegal stuff. Of course, once we close on the house we can start testing away, but until then I'm going to be a little antsy. I've only got 2 more weeks, but I'm already feeling a strong desire to paint, plant, decorate, hang things, organize.
Reading "Month-by-Month Gardening in Wisconsin" by Melinda Myers should keep me busy and make me feel like I'm doing something useful, even if I can't yet get my hands dirty.
Putting this clock collage together definitely ate up some time, too. I'm really feeling the cuckoo clock. Some other options: retro silver, wheel, a clock that reminds me of the Japanese flag, and a zippy red one.
