Memorial Day Fun

Finally, it feels like summer here in Milwaukee. It's a good thing we had such a relaxing, fun-filled weekend because today I'm dealing with my computer which is acting like it's on its last leg. Please, please don't die on me computer.
Back to the weekend... Man, I love Lake Michigan. My 2 year-old daughter begs me to take her to the beach almost every day. It was nice to actually be able to get our feet wet without having our toes turn purple this time.
We had to wait until Monday for the sunshine, though. On Saturday we did a little shopping at this place called Steinhaufel's Super Store. I'd say it's the same size as Ikea. Seeing as how there's no Ikea around here, I guess it is sort of the Ikea of Milwaukee only you don't have to assemble the furniture yourself. My girls loved the taxi strollers and  play room. I felt a little guilty that we didn't buy anything... just took advantage of their free cookies and coffee while wondering if any of the console tables would look good behind our couch. We did buy 2 mattresses from them the day after we arrived in Milwaukee, though, so I guess we deserve a little snacky-poo.
Sunday was reserved for a road trip to Madison, but it rained the entire time. I really want to get back there to visit the botanical gardens at UW and stroll around town. The girls loved Ella's Deli, the highlight being the carousel.

Hope the holiday weekend was enjoyable for everyone.
