Prefabulous

I'm sure you've heard the news, Ikea has come out with a prefab house which will set you back about $86 grand. One of my first posts on this blog back in July 2010 was about the Japanese retailer Muji's prefab houses. If we were to move back to Japan, I would seriously consider buying a Muji house. They're so cool with all the clever storage space and clean lines.

Let's compare, shall we? First, here's one of Muji's really cool houses. I should mention that their smallest plan is about double the price of Ikea's house.


Now let's peek at Ikea's version...



I know which I like best. Which do you prefer, the Ikea or Muji house?

I think it's because I'm drawn more to the photos for Muji with the natural light and so I like it better. I like how simple and clean the muji one looks

I agree. Maybe they should have used natural light for the Ikea photos.
